 Phoenicia International Festival of The Voice invited by Syracuse University Janklow Arts Leadership in collaboration with The Skaneateles Festival to a Think Tank with Music Festival and Cultural Leaders.

Syracuse University’s Arts Leadership Janklow Program in collaboration with the Skaneateles Festival will host a roundtable discussion on Friday, April 29, 2016 from 9:30am – 2:30pm held at the historic Sherwood Inn in Skaneateles, New York.

This roundtable will focus on cultural and seasonal tourism, shifting demographics and the changes surrounding the music festival landscape with cultural leaders from an array of music disciplines. The participants are from varied locations, professional experience, and sector expertise with music as a unifying base.

Participants include: Marcia White, President & Executive Director of Saratoga Performing Arts Center – SPAC; Linda Chesis, Artistic Director of Cooperstown Summer Music Festival; Elaine Lipton, Executive Director of Cape Cod Chamber Music Festival; Alexander Lombard, Founder President & CEO of Lake George Music Festival; Christopher Powell, Director of Administration & Community Engagement of The Glimmerglass Festival; Debra Bell, Marketing Director of The Glimmerglass Festival; Susan Mark, Executive Director of Skaneateles Festival; Brian Mitchell, Managing Director of Kingston Chamber Music Festival; Brett Smock, Producing Artistic Director of Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival and Maria Todaro, Executive Director of Phoenicia International Festival of The Voice.

 

The roundtable discussion will be hosted Mark Nerenhausen who serves as both founding director and professor of practice of the Janklow Arts Leadership Program. He brings more than two decades of professional arts administration experience to Syracuse University.
